Description
SAIC is seeking Technical Writers to join the Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on-site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/ Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and improve/ modernize MARS. This position will be located in the National Capital Region.

Description

The Technical Writer responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Translate technical information into clear, understandable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel
- Gather information, interview SMEs, and conduct additional research to convey material in a concise and effective manner
- Compose and edit technical documentation including Knowledge Articles, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), user manuals, governance and control gates documentation, training materials, installation guides, and reports
- Establish the overall organizational layout and editorial standards of submissions and manage the schedule, assignments, and meetings associated with all narratives and submissions
- Supports quality control activities to ensure accuracy of each publication and ensures documentation complies with all applicable specifications, standards, and other constraints
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Bachelors degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 6 years or more relevant experience (will consider an additional 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation, developing user manuals, and writing clear and concise content
- Experience in conducting research, gathering technical information, and organizing documentation
Strong understanding of technical writing standards, documentation tools, and content management
