Summary
Seeking a Senior Data Modeler to design and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models across AWS Redshift, S3, DynamoDB, DB2, and Postgres for BI/analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design/implement relational, dimensional, snowflake/star schema & data lake models

  • Collaborate with dev teams on data strategies, flows & conceptual models

  • Optimize/update models through project phases

  • Reverse engineer physical models and analyze variances

  • Apply naming conventions and coding standards

  • Address performance issues and integration challenges

  • Recommend improvements to database structures and efficiency

Required Skills

  • 9+ yrs data modeling experience (DB2, Redshift, DynamoDB, Postgres, SQL Server, PEGA apps)

  • 7+ yrs data modeling tools experience

  • Strong SQL + data profiling across relational DBs

  • Proficient with AWS/cloud platforms

  • Experience building data lakes (structured + unstructured)

  • Database tuning & performance optimization

  • Knowledge of relational, dimensional, unstructured & master data models

  • Strong communication + ability to work independently

Preferred

  • Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse experience

  • Familiarity with modern data modeling trends/techniques
