Description

We are looking for a dedicated Configuration Management Analyst I to join our team in West Chester, OH. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to support software baseline control efforts, ensuring efficient management of configurations and documentation throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires a proactive individual with strong technical skills and a commitment to process improvement.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain software baselines using automated configuration management tools.
  • Establish and implement procedures for releasing products across all stages of the product lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain project documentation inventories, including configuration baselines and software development folders.
  • Serve as a member of the Configuration Control Board and advocate for best practices in configuration management.
  • Develop and maintain build automation tools to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Track and update change requests, impact assessments, and incident reports on an ongoing basis.
  • Perform software builds for testing and production environments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Measure and report success metrics, benchmarking performance against industry standards.
  • Support management with technical performance data derived from configuration management processes.
  • Drive process improvements using established frameworks such as ITIL or CMMI.


Requirements

Skills Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in systems/application development or IT.
  • Familiarity with CM tools and software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with process improvement frameworks (e.g., CMMI, ITIL) preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
