Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands-on experience providing technical support in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills for Windows 10, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for end-users across the organization
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and peripheral issues on Windows 10 systems
  • Support and troubleshoot Office 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
  • Assist with network connectivity issues, including basic TCP/IP troubleshooting
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Active Directory and O365
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and related hardware
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain accurate support records in ticketing systems
  • Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
  • Provide remote support for offsite employees when necessary

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of Desktop Support experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams troubleshooting
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Group Policy management
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
  • Knowledge of imaging tools and deployment processes
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are a plus

This is a Contract position based out of Pleasanton, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
