Job Description:
Apex Systems combines with parent company ASGN Inc. to make it the 2nd largest IT staffing agency in the country.
Apex has an opportunity for a Front Office Trader Tools Developer.
Position: FO Trader Tools Developer
Location: Fully onsite in NYC to start
Rate: Open, can flex up for the right person
Duration: 12 month contract project that can extend or convert
Must have skills:
-Experience working with FO Traders directly building tools in a variety of Technologies. Primarily Excel/VBA & Python. Must be strong in these technologies.
-Excellent Front Office Business Knowledge in one or more asset classes (Equities, FX, Commodities, FI & Rates). Commodities knowledge is desirable.
-Solid understanding of financial instruments in derivatives, including pricing models, Greeks, and risk management concepts.
-Proven Experience working with Desk Heads and Senior Traders managing priorities and defining solutions with a strategic view for the future.
Desirable skills:
-Experience working with Market Data Platforms such as Bloomberg.
-Experience working with Ploty Dash and building dashboards in Python.
-Experience in C#
-Senior level experience to help lead junior team members
Responsibilities:
This is a hands-on development role working with Commodity Traders building new desktop tools and supporting existing tools (pricing sheets etc...). The ideal candidate would be someone doing a similar role with proven experience.
