Locations: Uptown Charlotte, NC
duration: 12 Months+
Pay Rate: $69.53
Duration: 12 months highly likely to be extended through 24 months based on performance/project need. Also potential for Contract to Hire
**Manager is only open to candidates that can be converted full time
Mission: This team is a horizontal service for consumer lending data, they are currently focused on technology modernization and cloud migration. They will also be involved in creating new data capabilities. Maintain current ETL framework and work on containerization next year
Must Haves:
-Understanding of relational database vs big data concepts
-Python Experience
-Spark & Spark SQL Experience
-Unix & Shell Scripting Experience
-Hadoop Experience - MapR (Hortonworks/Cloudera in addition preferred)
- Containerization tools nice to have (OpenShift/Kubernetes)
- Cloud Experience nice to have (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, etc.)
**S3 experience nice to have
Applications: .NET & SQL server, Hadoop
Day to Day:
- Moving things from on Prem to cloud
- Containerization
- Modernization
- Working with Spark on Map R
**Hadoop Developers will be running these interviews. Need to hadoop developer- need an SME As a Hadoop developer- this team learned everything on their own so they need someone that knows Hadoop like a SME
