Job Description:
Systems Engineer II - Rail and Transit - California
Opportunity :
Our Parsons Rail and Transit division in California is now hiring for a Systems Engineer II to support various transportation integration projects in California This role can be remote based in California.
Scope of duties :
Set up Systems Engineering processes for start up projects
Support requirements management and verification and validation (V&V) activities across various projects
Support interface management, configuration management and systems integration activities through project lifecycle phases up to testing and commissioning.
Support systems activities for proposal work
Additional duties :
Develops technical solutions to complex problems. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Performs a variety of engineering tasks related to the development, operation, and maintenance of complex technology systems. Provides input to analyses and assessments of system requirements, processes, and methodologies enabling total system integration and performance while meeting cost, schedule, and technical objectives.
- Manages program and project implementation and makes significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts.
- Applies advanced principles, theories, and concepts.
- Works on unusually complex problems and provides solutions that are highly creative.
- Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
- Applies extensive technical expertise to complex engineering challenges.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Skills and Competencies :
- Knowledge of product and an ability to solve problems.
- Ability to work across departments within the organization.
- Ability to hold technical discussions and develop engineers
- Must have excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of programming languages and web based technologies.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Education and Typical Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical/scientific discipline degree related to area of specialty
5 years or more of related professional experience

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
