Position Summary

Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Water Treatment and Reclaim (WTR) organization. This leader will oversee the Ultrapure Water (UPW) Engineering, Industrial Waste Treatment (IWT) Engineering, Controls Engineering, and Project Management teams. You will be at the forefront of ensuring 24/7 operational excellence, safety, and innovation across our water/wastewater utilities and infrastructure projects.

This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for driving the performance of utility systems that are essential to semiconductor manufacturing, as well as leading capital improvement projects that ensure reliability, expand capacity, and support our long-term vision for sustainability and innovation.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

Leadership & Strategic Oversight
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering organization.
  • Set and drive clear performance expectations aligned with Samsung's operational, safety, and environmental goals.
  • Serve as a senior representative to internal and external partners, including government agencies, vendors, and global Samsung fab teams.

Operational Excellence
  • Oversee the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of UPW, IWT, and water distribution systems.
  • Provide engineering guidance for site utility systems and 24/7 operations teams.
  • Continuously improve process technologies, system reliability, capacity, and process control.

Project Management
  • Lead long-term capital planning and execution of infrastructure expansion and upgrade projects.
  • Support all aspects of design, budgeting, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strategic alignment between engineering, operations, and construction teams.

Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, TCEQ, and all relevant local/state/federal environmental and safety regulations.

Talent Development
  • Promote a culture of learning, collaboration, and personal development.
  • Mentor team members and support long-term career growth.
  • Attract and retain top engineering talent with a strong focus on engagement and innovation.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's What You'll Bring to Samsung:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 12 years of engineering experience in water/wastewater or facilities systems, with at least 6 years in leadership roles.
  • Prior experience in high-tech, semiconductor, or large-scale manufacturing environments preferred.

NOTE: This position is required to be on-site full time.

The current base salary range for this role is between $119,029 and $202,671. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
