Role: Cloud Systems Administrator (Azure/O365/AD)

Client Location: West Chester, PA

Remote: Remote

Duration: 3-6 months contract to hire

Responsibilities (include but not exclusive to the following):

  1. Daily support, configuration, implementation and maintenance of Active Directory, Azure & Office 365. This position requires strong experience with Entra ID and Entra Application management. Hybrid Experience a plus.
  2. Azure experience is preferred, both traditional cloud resources and ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Machine Learning Workspace.
  3. Azure API management with API Management and Azure Container Apps hosting API s.
  4. Strong understanding of load balancing with Azure Application Gateway and CDN web routing via Azure Front Door a plus.
  5. Azure Role Management for all resources; Custom role creations. Role assignments and auditing of permissions.
  6. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling; Terraform and BICEP preferred.
  7. Strong understanding of cloud system architecture and application design is a must-have. Azure preferred but will consider relevant experience with AWS/Google Cloud Platform.
  8. Experience building and troubleshooting Azure DevOps Pipelines; YAML, Service Connections, Code Review and assistance of development teams with deployments and investigations of failures.
  9. Strong understanding of traditional and cloud networking concepts; VNET s, ExpressRoutes, NSG s, Firewalls, Azure DNS Concepts are a must.
  10. Ability to read and understand programming languages at level strong enough to assist with determining whether an issue is code or infrastructure related. C#, React, Node JS preferred.
  11. Excellent PowerShell skills a must have.
  12. Participate in Security audits and remediation exercises as needed. Review and remediate Defender for Cloud findings.
  13. Provide daily support in the execution of new design, configuration, implementation and maintenance of USI systems and related technology including but not limited to storage, virtualization environments, cloud, and server platforms.
  14. Ensure all computer systems are patched on a timely basis in accordance with USI policies.
  15. Ensure the smooth deployment of new applications.
  16. Plans for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
  17. Stay up to date on security risks and ensure corporate security.
  18. Recommend and implement improvements.
  19. See that all reported issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 4 Year Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field preferred
  • MCSE/MCSA preferred.
  • 4-6 years IT Related experience in an enterprise setting.
  • Must have expertise in Azure
  • Must have experience in Terraform
  • Managing Backup systems, AD, VMWare, any other traditional on perm admin skills
  • Prior Data Center experience, since they are a hybrid environment
  • Strong PowerShell Scripting knowledge required.
  • Knowledge of Okta; Rubrik
  • Proven experience identifying security vulnerabilities and eliminating them with strategic solutions.
  • Knowledge of system and network monitoring tools (PRTG)
  • Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and people skills.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
