Job Details
Title : Senior HVAC/ Construction/ MEP Engineer
Location : Dulles, VA (onsite role to start; hybrid role once established in role)
Description:
- Working knowledge of HVAC and Electrical Management Systems
- Prefer more HVAC over electrical
- Advance knowledge Delta and DISTECH Controls systems knowledge required ( Distech 8 or 10 certified)
- Siemens product knowledge is preferred
- Tridium is required - certified
Position Summary
- On-site project leader supporting the design, installation, and implementation of all technical aspects of newly-installed Building Automation Systems in retrofit or newly constructed buildings. Performs highly complex and innovative software integration, design and programming, trial runs and investigative tests.
- Projects will include data centers, commercial business, healthcare and higher education. New builds and renovations. Non-union role.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant technical hands on experience in systems programming and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems (DDC)
- Expert working knowledge in HVAC mechanical and/or Electrical systems
- Advanced knowledge of computers and MS Suite software products, specifically Excel
- Expert troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Successfully demonstrates expert knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
- AutoCAD and/or drafting experience.
- Extensive knowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contracting, preferred
Preferred Skills
- Delta and Distech controls systems knowledge required (Distech 8 or 10 certified)
- Siemens product knowledge is preferred
- Tradium software experience is required - certification
- At least 3 years MEP experience required
- Expert knowledge of BAS (Building Automation Systems) computerized automation systems
- Must have Design Compliance Declaration certification or have worked in that capacity in the past
- Experience in PLC (Programming Logic Controllers) in automating projects
- Structural design experience is suitable as a replacement for MEP design build experience
- Candidates coming from General Contracting firms is acceptable; open to candidates from architectual firms
