job summary:

Responsibilities



  • Enhance and maintain the existing applications along with building new solutions.
  • Help design and implement a novel cloud native application for text analytics.
  • Participate in maintenance of two event-based serverless applications build on AWS serverless technologies
  • Support of vendor products running in the AWS cloud
  • Communicate with your scrum team, vendors, and clients so they understand the project's technical implications, dependencies, and potential conflicts.

  • Evaluate the impacts of change requests on own/shared technologies and effectively persuades and influences others on ideas.
  • Deploy cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to Europe based technology and solutions teams.


qualifications:

Qualifications



  • 5+ years development experience or equivalent - Python, JavaScript, or shell scripting
  • You have familiarity with AWS concepts and services
  • Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation or similar cloud automation experience (IAM, S3, EC2, Lambda, SNS)
  • You are excited by AWS cloud adoption and AI/ML and eager to help Vanguard clients achieve the best outcomes for their financial success
  • You want to work with other talented engineers and foster a culture of innovation, efficiency, independent thinking and collaboration
  • You can self-train on emerging technologies and share what you learn with others
  • Strong focus on quality, automation, and client experience
  • Personal attributes
  • Strong interpersonal skills, must be a team player

  • Ability to work without supervision on short-term tasks
