Human Capital Management (HCM) Training Specialist
Summary
The Human Capital Management (HCM) Training Specialist will support the implementation of talent solutions with a focus on state-wide talent acquisition and performance management programs. This dynamic and data-driven role involves providing training, consultation, and technical expertise on talent acquisition and performance management. The ideal candidate is technologically savvy, innovative, and self-aware, skilled in system implementation, and adept at developing and delivering training throughout the state.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training and content related to the State's new HR information system, Workday.
- Provide training and resources to agency recruiters, including talent pool optimization, internship programs, interviewing, hiring best practices, and streamlining recruiting processes using Workday.
- Research training best practices to support continuous program improvement.
- Analyze data and generate graphic and narrative reports and presentations.
- Maintain and update training materials, exercises, handouts, and exams to reflect best practices and changes in policies, processes, forms, or systems.
- Conduct instructor-led training virtually and in-person for state entity staff.
- Utilize systems training environments or related tools to lead student activities.
- Assist with the maintenance of HRA’s Learning Management System (LMS) and respond to enrollment requests and other administrative activities.
- Respond to requests from various stakeholders.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills
- Experience delivering training through various methods, including in-person, online, and virtual platforms.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with audiences at all levels.
- Program management and administration skills, including organization and managing multiple tasks/projects.
- Aptitude for learning and using technology for training design and data analysis.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Minimum Entry Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience in human resources; OR one (1) year of experience at the lower-level HR Spec 2 or an equivalent position. An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certifications that provide the necessary knowledge and skills can be substituted year-over-year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Workday Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Optimization, or other Workday modules within an HR department as an administrator or trainer.
- HRIS systems training experience.
This position may require some travel. Local candidates only: participates in a hybrid work environment with telework encouraged and some in-office days required, to be determined later.
