Role: Senior Data Engineer
(Miami, FL is client location)
Duration: 12-month ongoing contract
Must Haves:

8+ years of experience in Data Engineering (preferably with experience in Data Warehousing)

2 years of experience in DBT Cloud

Experience with SQL, Oracle Packages or SSIS Packages, GitHub, Control-M (scheduling tool)

Experience with Snowflake

Plusses:

Experience with Matillion

The ideal candidate will have experience working with DBT Cloud, as the largest project this person will be responsible for is a migration from Oracle and other software to DBT Cloud and Snowflake.

Job Description:

Our client in the cruise line industry is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Data Management side of the business.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with DBT Cloud, as the largest project this person will handle involves a migration from Oracle and other systems to DBT Cloud and Snowflake.

This person will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, optimize data pipelines, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Specifically, with this new project, the engineer will be rewriting code from SSIS, Oracle, and Data Services into DBT Cloud and integrating data from multiple sources to ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability.

After the project completion, the candidate will be assigned to new initiatives, including reading requirements, meeting with Product Owners (POs) to understand project scopes, and continuing the project lifecycle alongside cross-functional teams through to completion.
