job summary:

The role is responsible for leading all larger IT projects within the company, with a focus on our M&A driven IT integration projects from the initial due diligence through full integration. In this critical role, you'll evaluate existing business processes, systems and applications, and be instrumental in finding potential synergies and value in relation to our existing business and IT infrastructure.





As the single point of contact in the IT department for all major projects, you will align the needs of the end customer (M&A target, project sponsors, major stakeholders) with the IT department's delivery, finding the best and shortest path to completion. You'll identify and document requirements, create and manage project plans, oversee, execute and coordinate the projects across all major stakeholders.





In this cross-functional role working with a global team, you'll use your organizational and communication skills to ensure that different departments, stakeholders and IT work seamlessly together to meet all project objectives.





JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:






  • Leads all of our large IT projects, including but not limited to M&A integrations, and acts as a key partner in the global integration team.

  • Ensures all projects are properly scoped, prioritized, planned, documented, and executed in alignment with business and stakeholder timelines and needs.

  • Works across the enterprise, developing partnerships with business leaders, major stakeholders, and all departments.

  • Manages expectations, measures progress, and ensures delivery against key milestones.

  • Helps govern and improve our IT PMO process, communicates with the steering committee, stakeholders, 3rd parties to maximize value and manage costs.

  • Understands and reviews major business processes (order to cash, procure to pay, record to report), identifies opportunities and risks.

  • Escalates issues early and works proactively to resolve them quickly.




REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:




  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MBA, or equivalent experience.

  • 15+ years IT experience with 8+ years in a leadership roles including IT project management, IT infrastructure and IT operations.

  • Experience managing distributed, multi-lingual, global IT teams across locations.

  • Proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.

  • Shows a history of excellent project management, execution, and integration skills.

  • Demonstrated M&A experience.

  • Wide and varied expertise with business applications, platforms, reporting systems, solutions and has maintained awareness of emerging IT trends.

  • Has managed vendors, negotiations, and established mutually beneficial partnerships.

  • Experience leading/championing process improvement projects to drive productivity.




PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:




  • Robotic Process Automation is anadvantage.

  • Chemical Industry and/or Manufacturing experience.

  • Subject matter expertise with one or more leading ERP systems.

  • An entrepreneurial track record.
