Job Title: Director of Antibody Engineering
Location: Bay Area (5 days on-site)
Compensation: $200,000 to $250,000 Base + Bonus + Equity + Benefits.

About the Opportunity:
iO Associates is proud to partner on a retained basis with a Biotech startup soon to be emerging from stealth-mode in the Bay Area, founded by an experienced, innovative, Scientific CEO and supported by leading scientific advisors. We are looking for a Director of Antibody Engineering to be a foundational hire, shaping the company's science and culture from the ground up.
The Role:
As the Director of Antibody Engineering, you will be the first hire into the business, leading the design, optimization and development of therapeutic antibodies. You'll be hands-on during the initial setup phase before transitioning to broader team leadership as the company grows. You will work closely with the incoming Director of Biology and scientific advisors to produce and refine antibody candidates, with a strong focus on neurodegenerative diseases.
You Must Have:
- Start-up & function leading experience - bringing adaptability, resilience and a mindset suited for a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in antibody engineering, molecular biology and immunology.
- Experience in Neuroscience.
The founding CEO will be sharing more information in the initial screening call, due to the stealth nature of the business. These interview are available as early as next week.
