Position Title: AWS Cloud Architect with Anthos
Location: Tarrytown, NY / Sleepy Hollow, NY (Onsite)
Hire Type: CTH / FTE
Role Purpose
Serve as the primary technical leader and client-facing representative for the design, build, and delivery of the Enterprise Kubernetes Platform (EKP), Container as a Service (CaaS) framework, and Backup/Disaster Recovery (DR) in a multi-cloud environment (AWS, Google Cloud Platform & Azure).
This role covers hands-on technical delivery, solution governance, and project orchestration.
Core Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery Participation: Work on all phases - Discovery & Planning, Design, Build, Test, Handover.
- Provision and configure Kubernetes clusters (EKS, GKE, AKS) and register to Anthos or approved alternatives.
- Implement multi-cloud governance: RBAC, NetworkPolicies, Quotas, image policy, drift detection.
- Build GitOps-based onboarding templates (Helm/Kustomize) and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy and configure observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana) and FinOps dashboards.
- Implement Velero for Kubernetes backup/restore, AWS Backup for RDS/EFS, and cross-cloud transfers to Google Cloud Platform.
- Configure AWS DMS CDC replication for DR scenarios.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in Cloud/Kubernetes platform engineering, with leadership in multi-cloud solutions.
- Proven track record of end-to-end Kubernetes platform builds across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and Azure.
- Hands-on with Anthos, Rancher, or open-source governance frameworks.
- Strong GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), security policy management (OPA Gatekeeper/Kyverno).
- Expertise in multi-cloud backup/DR, Velero, AWS Backup, GCS Storage Transfer, AWS DMS.
- Experience with observability stack integrations and cost visibility solutions.
- Excellent client communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Additional Responsibilities
- Primary Client Liaison: Act as the single point of contact for all technical matters with client stakeholders.
- Governance Oversight: Ensure all deliverables meet SOW-defined acceptance criteria and scope boundaries.
- Change Management: Facilitate design reviews, scope clarifications, and formal change requests.
- Risk & Escalation Management: Identify delivery risks early and engage with management for mitigation.
- Sprint Leadership: Drive daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives with onsite/offshore team members.
- Quality Assurance: Review offshore deliverables before client submission to ensure technical accuracy.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide concise but detailed status updates to client and internal leadership.
- Dependency Management: Coordinate with client IT, networking, and security teams for prerequisites (IAM, firewall rules, namespaces, etc.).
- Roadmap Shaping: Capture client feedback during delivery to define a follow-on roadmap (e.g., AKS onboarding, advanced DR).
