Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end design process from discovery and user research to prototyping and usability testing.
Create wireframes, user flows, journey maps, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
Conduct UX research to identify pain points and opportunities for experience improvement.
Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and business analysts to align UX/CX strategies with business goals.
Develop and maintain design systems and ensure brand consistency across digital touchpoints.
Use analytics, feedback, and behavioral data to drive design decisions and enhance user satisfaction.
Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design standards (WCAG 2.1).
Present design solutions and findings to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into iterative improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field (Master s preferred).
5+ years of experience in UX, UI, or CX design roles.
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, or Axure.
Experience with user research, persona development, journey mapping, and usability testing.
Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and visual design principles.
Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for design collaboration.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain design rationale clearly.
Prior experience working with state or local government agencies (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in UX/CX or Design Thinking (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, IDEO, or similar).
Experience designing for accessibility (Section 508 compliance).
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and design sprints.
