UNIX/CICD/Change Management/Application Governance; NJ, TX

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Development Managers to manage and complete all activities associated with Application Governance (i.e., AIT Management), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and other tasks
• Report metrics and summary to Senior Leadership and other stakeholders
• Autonomously and repeatedly managed by the team once knowledge transfer of the process components is completed and a functional understanding of the application set is achieved
• Manage multiple applications, mitigating risk and complexity
• Work proactively to manage application inventory
• Support compliance risk for applications, work on audit findings and remediation plan
• Identify, escalate and debate on the potential risk items related to applications
• Good understanding of technologies used within GBAMT-ERFT

Requirements:

• 4+ years of hands-on relevant experience in Unix, CI/CD, Change Management
• 3+ years of development/PM/BA experience
• Strong knowledge software change mana and release process management
• Experience supporting compliance, risk and audit processes
• Knowledge of Agile Development Methodology
• Banking domain knowledge would be an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a preference for individuals who have at least 2 years' experience as a developer or business analyst
• Strong prioritization, negotiation and problem resolution skills
• High sense of urgency with ability to drive results
• Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and regions to achieve a common purpose
• Experience working in a large, global organization
• Strong collaboration and relationship management skills

Desired Skills:

• Quartz awareness
• Knowledge of big data architectures and Cloud computing
• Experience with Java, Hadoop/Hive, Neo4J, Apache Spark, PySpark, Kafka and MongoDB
• Experience with Airflow, Nifi or any other DAG based tools
• Experience in CI/CD tools
• Experience using PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, MS-Project, SharePoint
• Knowledge of Global Markets

Pay range: $58.26 - $66.26
