We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking ADMS/SCADA Engineer to join our utility operations team. This role is critical to the deployment, integration, and support of our Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) platforms. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a passion for grid modernization, and a collaborative mindset to help transform how we manage and optimize our electric distribution network.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain SCADA and ADMS systems for real-time grid monitoring and control
Integrate field devices (RTUs, IEDs, sensors) with SCADA/ADMS platforms using protocols like DNP3, Modbus, IEC 61850
Support deployment of ADMS modules including FLISR, Volt/VAR Optimization, and Load Forecasting
Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and field operations teams to ensure secure and reliable system performance
Develop and maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and configuration records
Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning for new installations and upgrades
Troubleshoot and resolve SCADA/ADMS issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams
Participate in outage response and restoration efforts using ADMS tools
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in grid automation
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience with SCADA systems in utility or industrial environments
Familiarity with ADMS platforms (e.g., GE Grid Solutions, Schneider Electric, Siemens, OSI)
Strong understanding of electric distribution systems and grid operations
Experience with communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, TCP/IP)
Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, SQL, or similar)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
