AI Program Manager

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an AI Program Manager for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary:

This Senior Program Manager role would be part of the policy team and support the implementation efforts for our Responsible AI Standard.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Support of product teams building AI systems, platform services, and features. Coordinate internal stakeholders and expert deliberations.
  • Collaborate with Research organization, conduct literature reviews, and manage external expert engagements to define and maintain a generative AI harms taxonomy and usage policies.
  • Translate Responsible AI Standards, research, and policy into effective controls and scalable implementation practices.
  • This includes the development of templates, examples, guides, checklists, training, and other materials aimed at supporting effective and efficient effort by engineering teams towards compliance.
  • Lead the tracking, coordination, and communication of responsible AI implementation practice development schedules across teams, monitor progress and drive accountability amongst stakeholders, and identify potential risk areas, dependencies, and technical blockers, and drive mitigations and solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement


Preferred:

  • A doctoral degree or academic research related to policy development and implementation, particularly related to technology and its impact on people and society.
  • Experience in in large-scale computing, modeling, or applied research or data science roles.
  • Bachlor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience working in or with a large, matrixed organization.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven track record of being able to engage and influence a variety of stakeholders.
  • A key attribute will be the ability to work across multiple disciplines and cultures.
  • Demonstrated record of being an effective team player dedicated to collective successes.
  • The ability to promote cooperation and solve problems in a timely, creative, and professional manner.
  • Proficiency at working closely and collaboratively with multiple departments and executives, and in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to rapidly changing environments and demands.
  • Demonstrated record of experimentation, learning from both successes and failures.
