SCOPE OF WORK:
Seeking who is an experienced Monarch Technology Analyst. The Monarch Technology Analyst will provide critical production support and technical expertise for client s Monarch ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) and OMS (Outage Management System) applications. This role requires a strong background in IT system management and real-time control systems typically found in utility environments, combining technical troubleshooting, system maintenance, and effective communication skills to ensure optimized system performance and reliability.

SCOPE OF WORK:
Seeking who is an experienced Monarch Technology Analyst. The Monarch Technology Analyst will provide critical production support and technical expertise for client s Monarch ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) and OMS (Outage Management System) applications. This role requires a strong background in IT system management and real-time control systems typically found in utility environments, combining technical troubleshooting, system maintenance, and effective communication skills to ensure optimized system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day production support for Monarch ADMS and OMS applications to ensure continuous availability and operational stability of these complex, mission-critical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Monarch ADMS and OMS systems by employing proven problem-solving methodologies, including root cause analysis, documentation, prioritization, and collaboration with technical team members and end users.
- Perform routine system maintenance, configuration management, and ongoing performance monitoring of Monarch ADMS and OMS platforms, ensuring they operate securely, efficiently, and meet organizational performance standards.
- Test scheduled software updates, patches, and enhancements to Monarch ADMS and OMS applications to validate functional improvements and process optimizations. Develop and execute resolution plans for issues discovered during these tests, working collaboratively with colleagues and users.
- Apply strong communication skills to provide comprehensive support and technical information to internal customers and stakeholders, effectively translating complex technical concepts into clear and concise language suitable for non-technical audiences.
- Deliver responsive Windows desktop support for Monarch application users, resolving workstation and application issues promptly to limit business disruptions.
- Develop and maintain thorough and accurate technical documentation including technical specifications, data flow diagrams, structure charts, and process workflows to support both new system functionalities and modifications, adhering to departmental standards.
- Collaborate closely with functional teams to assist in crafting test scenarios, writing test plans, and preparing test scripts that support thorough quality assurance and system enhancement activities.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within diverse teams, demonstrating adaptability and strong interpersonal skills needed to achieve common goals in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent tasks, maintain structured documentation, and produce timely status reports.
- Submit weekly status reports on progress, challenges, and upcoming deliverables to the team manager, ensuring transparent communication of work activities.
- Support additional project assignments and enhancement requests as they arise to contribute to continuous improvement of Monarch ADMS and OMS systems.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Systems Engineering, Engineering or related field or Minimum of three (3) years of experience networking and security, virtual environments, Windows operating systems, etc.
- 2+ years of Monarch ADMS and OMS experience (on Windows operating system)
- Provides experience in resumes that demonstrates qualification in these areas.
- 2+ years of Electric utility experience
- GIS knowledge: Basic understanding of Electrical Map and its various electronic components.
- Experienced with Mongo database
- Technical understanding of networking and security
- Technical understanding of windows operating systems, virtual environments, and systems integration.
- Provides experience in resumes that demonstrates qualification in these areas.
- Prior experience working with GIS data models, preferably Hexagon s Technology.
- Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, C++, etc.)
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the electrical and software industry
- Previous AMI (Itron) experience
- Previous experience working with PI (Aveva) systems.
- Experience with Postgres and Cassandra.
- Contractors must have reliable internet, work exclusively within the United States.
- Contractors will be 100% onsite at client s location in Sacramento, CA.
- Daily Schedule of the resources will be between 7am 5pm (PST), Monday through Friday.
- The resource must be available to start work on the task s start date.
