Job Title:Jira Administrator
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and versatile Jira Administrator / Enterprise Application & IT Operations Specialist to join our onsite team in Santa Clara, CA. This individual will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Jira administration and other enterprise applications while supporting core IT operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in managing SaaS platforms like Jira, SharePoint, and OneDrive, combined with a strong understanding of ITSM practices and infrastructure support.
This is a hands-on hybrid role that requires both technical administration and operational ownership to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
Jira & Enterprise Application Administration
- Serve as the primary administrator for Jira, managing user provisioning, permission schemes, workflows, custom fields, and SSO integrations.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for enterprise applications including SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, APIs, or other scripting tools.
- Ensure application stability, access control, and compliance with security and IT policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application rollouts, changes, and upgrades.
- Maintain clear documentation of configurations, procedures, and best practices.
IT Operations & Support
- Manage incident, service request, and change queues using ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms.
- Support end-user issues and drive timely resolution aligned with SLA expectations.
- Oversee local IT assets and coordinate with global Asset and Configuration Management teams.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding including device setup and access provisioning.
- Conduct proactive health checks, system maintenance, and patch coordination in collaboration with infrastructure teams.
- Promote ITIL best practices for ticket handling, escalation management, and change processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement, automation, and process efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise application support and/or IT operations roles.
- Hands-on Jira administration experience (Jira Software / Jira Service Management).
- Proficiency with SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
- Familiarity with PowerShell, API integrations, and JSON/XML configurations.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes including incident, change, and asset management.
- Experience with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or relevant certification.
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification.
- Microsoft 365 certification (optional but beneficial).

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
