RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Seattle, WA that is seeking a Structural Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Pipe Stress Load Analysis & Optimization: Review and optimize structural load criteria for liquid cooling piping systems including its connections, analyzing component gravity loads and seismic/thermal combinations
* BOD Documentation & Standards Development: Improve load documentation in Basis Of Design documents for liquid cooling systems, ensuring proper racking load criteria and structural requirements. Develop process runbooks for standardized workflows
* Project-Level Technical Review: Review liquid cooling submittals across multiple projects to ensure standardization and proper structural integration
* Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with racking team, MPS and racking vendors to align on load calculations, connection designs, and pipe support strategies
* Process Improvement: Coordinate with construction teams to develop improved pipe and racking coordination workflows
REQUIREMENTS:
* ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering; PE or SE Engineering license; ABET accredited Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred
* 7+ years of experience in structural design for industrial or commercial projects
* 5+ years of experience in pipe stress design, connection design, and pipe support
* Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standard including IBC and ASCE
* Experience in design and calculation for auxiliary framing systems used to support cable tray, conduit, ductwork, etc.
* Experience in design and review of non-structural components and non-building structures
* Experience in Construction Administration
* Strong communication and writing skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
