Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior .NET Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems that support Tesla s mission of accelerating the world s transition to sustainable energy. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in .NET Core, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and high-throughput distributed systems, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-availability backend services using C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core
Build and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services supporting large-scale, real-time applications
Develop microservices-based architectures with event-driven and asynchronous processing
Integrate backend services with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) and containerized environments
Implement high-performance data access layers using SQL and NoSQL databases
Optimize system performance, latency, fault tolerance, and resiliency
Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, and QA teams
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design decisions
Ensure security, scalability, and maintainability across backend systems
Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation for rapid deployments
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of backend development experience with C# and .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+)
Strong experience building REST APIs and backend services using ASP.NET Core
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
Solid knowledge of SQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Redis)
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable)
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong understanding of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and performance tuning
Experience implementing logging, monitoring, and observability (Application Insights, Prometheus, ELK)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience working on IoT, telemetry, or real-time data platforms
Exposure to event streaming systems (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, RabbitMQ)
Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and clean architecture principles
Experience supporting high-traffic, mission-critical systems
Familiarity with DevSecOps and security best practices
Background in automotive, energy, manufacturing, or large-scale industrial systems
