These individuals will work with the Distribution Services team, which is comprised of four Edward
Jones Associates. The Distribution Services team is responsible for processing the large volume of checks Edward Jones receives in the mail. This includes insurance checks, disbursement checks, 401 (k) checks, etc. It is incredibly detailed work that requires critical and tactical thinking skills. For example, Edward Jones will receive checks with no information on them. These individuals will need to follow the process/guidelines to investigate the information they do have to determine who sent the check and how to enter it into the workstream.
The team is comprised of two groups. One group focuses on incoming mail. They open all envelopes and packages and provide the checks to the imaging team based on the information on the envelope, the package, and the check. The second group focuses on scanning/imaging the checks and entering them into the digital workstream to ensure they are deposited into the correct accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Converting physical documents into digital formats using high-speed scanners, OCR software, and secure document management systems to capture, index, and store documents electronically and integrate documents into operational workflows.
- Adhere to guidelines while verifying documents are complete and accurate.
- Maintain performance standards and expectations while increasing contribution to department initiatives.
- Effectively use knowledge and resources to ensure processing is compliant with regulations and current policies.
- Provide fellow associates and branch offices with easy access to information, friendly support, and reliable solutions.
- Establish and maintain effective communications and relationships within business areas, service providers, and vendors.
- Assist the department in identifying trends to simplify procedures and create efficiencies for branch and home office teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma preferred
- Familiarity with Communications System (Green Screen), Salesforce, Excel, Power BI, data entry, and data analysis preferred
- Strong customer service
- Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills
- Strong decision-making skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- High level of attention to detail while processing routine activities.
