What You'll Do
The Manager of Information Security will identify, recommend, and implement processes and technological improvements to enhance Freeman Health System's security posture. This forward-looking leader will develop 1-3-year road maps in collaboration with the Information Security leadership team, promote compliance and operational efficiency, and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data across enterprise systems. The role involves working closely with various departments, adhering to regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and NIST, and leading or coordinating both security and cross-functional projects.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business, or related field (4 years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree in addition to items below)
5 years of relevant experience
Demonstrated success leading and mentoring others in Cyber Security
Demonstrated success using effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead others directly or indirectly
Demonstrated success being proactive and innovative
Demonstrated success leading large-scale projects and delegating tasks appropriately
Work Experience Preference
Seven (7) years of relevant experience working in critical infrastructure.
Seven (7) years of Network, Security, or similar Infrastructure support and delivery experience
Seven (7) years of experience performing system administration and engineering
Two (2) years progressive leadership experience within healthcare IT
Preferred Licenses & Certifications
CISSP, CISM

- Maintain and support security software deployments (e.g., intrusion detection, access management).
- Monitor security systems and software (e.g., firewalls, cryptography, anti-virus).
- Analyze and resolve security breaches and vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated on latest threats and trends.
- Develop and improve cybersecurity standards, policies, and processes.
- Research, recommend, and deploy cybersecurity hardware and software.
- Assist with audits and remediation to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate on security programs and projects.
- Propose policy changes for efficiency and compliance.
- Assist in budget projections and manage operational metrics.
- Oversee talent management: acquisition, development, mentoring, and performance.
- Facilitate staff engagement and retention.
- Create development plans and identify training needs.
- Align team roles with strengths and growth opportunities.
- Lead and coordinate IT projects with operational partners.
- Ensure proper documentation and system analysis.
- Plan resources and estimate effort for team tasks.
- Set priorities and timelines for project completion.
- Assist in IT budget development and planning.
- Maintain on-call rotations and exceed customer service expectations.
- Ensure security in hardware, applications, and software evaluations.
- Ensure security solutions meet business needs.
- Foster cooperation and shared vision across departments.
Requirements
