We are a well established engineering firm seeking an experienced Design Engineer II to help transform our product requirements and customer needs into manufacturable, cost-effective designs. Working under moderate supervision, you will own sub-assemblies or small projects from concept through release, performing 3-D modeling, analysis, detailing, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product performance, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Job Details
  • 3-5+ years' experience minimum
  • Proficient in 3-D CAD, finite-element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid-dynamics (CFD) modeling
  • Comfortable with database, internet, spreadsheet and word-processing applications
  • Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor and Vault
  • 1 + years designing gate or butterfly valves
  • Familiarity with internal-combustion-engine performance requirements
  • Solid grasp of applied thermodynamics
  • Design of pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic valve-actuation systems
  • Working knowledge of DFMEA and PPAP methodologies
