Please be advised that due to the nature of this position, incumbents are subject to federal Drug & Alcohol safety regulations governing US Department of Transportation ("DOT") covered positions, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Pipeline Hazardous Material Safety Administration (PHMSA). As such, the Company's testing programs and policies regarding the use of federally prohibited drugs or alcohol, for recreational or medical purposes, will remain in effect for these safety-sensitive, DOT covered positions.

The Role
The Manager of Distribution Asset Management is responsible for sponsoring all distribution capital projects & programs, ownership of the Distribution Integrity Management Plan (DIMP) and customer connection equipment (service regulators & meters).
What You'll Do
- Manage a team of engineers responsible to provide gas engineering and asset management in support of NE distribution system in accordance with National Grid work methods and PHMSA & MA regulations
- Serve as primary sponsor for all distribution system associated capital programs and projects
- Effectively identify and capture capex efficiencies
- Lead annual and off-cycle reviews and updates to the Massachusetts Distribution Integrity Management Plan (DIMP)
- Serve as technical lead for all distribution system related reporting functions and requirements; including company driven, state and federal reporting
- Actively engage in annual Gas System Enhancement Plan (GSEP) filing and reconciliation
- Act as technical lead and sponsor for service connection equipment programs; including service regulators and meters
- Lead the development of customer connection equipment forward-looking strategy
- Assist in development of company standards and procedures as needed
- Utilize work management applications such as SAP, Maximo and Power Plant
About You
- ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline required
- Advanced technical degree preferred
- Massachusetts Professional Engineer preferred
- 8+ years of engineering experience required
- 10+ years of experience in an engineering role preferred
- Gas specific asset management, design or construction (operations) experience preferred
- Previous managerial/supervisory experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
