SiriusXM and its brands (Pandora, SXM Media, AdsWizz, Simplecast, and SiriusXM Connected Vehicle Services) are leading a new era of audio entertainment and services by delivering the most compelling subscription and ad-supported audio entertainment experience for listeners -- in the car, at home, and anywhere on the go with connected devices. Our vision is to shape the future of audio, where everyone can be effortlessly connected to the voices, stories and music they love wherever they are.

This is the place where a diverse group of emerging talent and legends alike come to share authentic and purposeful songs, stories, sounds and insights through some of the best programming and technology in the world. Our critically-acclaimed, industry-leading audio entertainment encompasses music, sports, comedy, news, talk, live events, and podcasting. No matter their individual role, each of our employees plays a vital part in bringing SiriusXM's vision to life every day.

SiriusXMis the leading audio entertainment company in North America, and the premier programmer and platform for subscription and digital advertising-supported audio products. SiriusXM's platforms collectively reach approximately 150 million listeners, the largest digital audio audience across paid and free tiers in North America, and deliver music, sports, talk, news, comedy, entertainment and podcasts. Pandora, a subsidiary of SiriusXM, is the largest ad-supported audio entertainment streaming service in the U.S. SiriusXM's subsidiaries Simplecast and AdsWizz make it a leader in podcast hosting, production, distribution, analytics and monetization. The Company's advertising sales organization, which operates as SXM Media, leverages its scale, cross-platform sales organization and ad tech capabilities to deliver results for audio creators and advertisers. SiriusXM, through Sirius XM Canada Holdings, Inc., also offers satellite radio and audio entertainment in Canada. In addition to its audio entertainment businesses, SiriusXM offers connected vehicle services to automakers.

How you'll make an impact:

As a team member of the OEM Applications team, you will work with OEM and Tier1 partners to effectively manage the integration of SXM into a vehicle's radio design and associated antennas, ensuring SXM testing is conducted for successful certification prior to vehicle launch and in turn, guaranteeing the customer's usage of SXM mode is an enjoyable one.

What you'll do:
  • New radio program kickoff: Distribute SXM requirements to both OEM and Tier1 suppliers, discuss architectural framework, etc.
  • New radio development: Integrate overall SXM requirements into an OEM specification to support overall feature execution. This includes requirements written in support of ongoing 360L development.
  • New radio development and ongoing support: Work collaboratively with Product, UX and Software Delivery teams to provide a common point of contact between OEM, Tier1 suppliers and SXM to ensure all program requirements are being met and any program issues are resolved as quickly as possible.
  • New radio development and ongoing radio updates: Support both test bench preparations for testing as well as perform in-vehicle testing to ensure SXM 360L performance is meeting required specifications. Assist with resolving issues by pulling client logs, Charles IP logs, SXM communication logs (Hubble, EMMA, SXe, etc) and vehicle communication logs as appropriate.
  • Program management: Create and manage issues utilizing issue tracking systems such as Jira, Rational Team Concert (RTC), etc
  • Program management: Create and manage test requests and reports
  • Program management: Create and maintain product details using SXM's internal database (Mobius)
  • Program management: Communicate with SXM teams to understand timing and understand upcoming changes of IP backend environment development as it applies to 360L radio behaviors.
  • Occasionally travel to OEM and Tier 1 engineering locations to support program advancement and any critical development/testing that may need support to maintain program timing.

What you'll need:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supporting, testing and/or managing infotainment system development
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in attention to detail and organization.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills to interface with many different teams, internally and externally in a professional manner.
  • Proficient in writing clear and concise communications, including spelling, grammar, proofreading and editing skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects and tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple suppliers and managing ongoing work relationships as an integrated team.
  • Knowledgeable in system level engineering concepts (architecture, interfaces, requirements creation).
  • Automotive electronics software design and development experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GM product development, release and validation is preferred.
  • While leadership characteristics are preferred, this is not a people manager position.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
