Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Procedure Writer to join our client's team in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality procedures and documentation related to Data Management Policy and Procedure adherence within the Commercial Banking Lending Domain Governance space.
As a Procedure Writer, you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure procedures are aligned with business goals, compliance requirements, and control expectations. You will consult on moderately complex initiatives, analyze challenges, and contribute to large-scale planning and documentation deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult on and participate in procedure writing initiatives of moderate complexity, ensuring quality, clarity, and compliance.
- Review, analyze, and resolve procedure documentation challenges that require evaluation of variable factors.
- Develop and maintain clear, accurate, and consistent policies, procedures, and control documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, validate data, and ensure alignment with governance and compliance standards.
- Provide input and recommendations on procedure improvements, risk mitigation, and adherence to internal controls.
- Ensure documentation supports audit, compliance, and data governance expectations.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Procedure Writing experience OR equivalent through a combination of work, consulting, military, or education.
- Proven expertise in technical writing, business writing, and documentation coordination.
- Strong knowledge of audit and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills, including VLookups & Pivot Tables).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
- Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and data governance/data management concepts.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data quality, validation, and metadata management.
- Background in commercial banking, data governance, or lending domain governance is a plus.

This role will primarily focus on procedure writing and documentation coordination work related to Data Management Policy adherence, non-adherence, and expected control documentation for Commercial Banking Lending Domain Governance.

Pay Range: $40 - $45
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
