Location: Irving, TX
Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually
Description: Role Overview
  • We are seeking a Data Center Network Engineer with strong experience in enterprise networking, particularly in data center environments. This role is based in Irving, TX, and will support ongoing infrastructure modernization efforts.

    Responsibilities
    • Participate in architecture reviews to ensure supportability and adherence to standards.
    • Develop and implement scalable, sustainable network standards and designs.
    • Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches to network/system administration.
    • Author and maintain network architecture documentation.
    • Perform daily maintenance and administration of core, wireless, and remote office networks.
    • Provide Tier 2/3 support for network, application, and system issues.
    • Install and configure hardware per project and operational requirements.
    • Monitor system performance, logs, and scheduled jobs.
    • Perform network-related backups and disaster recovery operations.
    • Troubleshoot and recover from hardware, software, or circuit failures.
    • Apply patches, upgrades, and performance tuning as needed.
    • Mentor junior and intermediate network staff.
    • Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience (+2 years).
    • 10+ years of network administration experience.
    • Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS, or equivalent.
    • Advanced experience with:
      • Juniper SRX/EX, Aruba (ClearPass, Fabric Manager), SD-WAN (VeloCloud)
      • Routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and RF design
      • Protocols: BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VRRP, VPN
      • Network services: DHCP, DNS, AD, WINS
      • CLI tools (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)
      • Load balancers, packet capture, and analysis tools
    • Strong understanding of OSI model, IP addressing, VLANs, and subnetting
    • Intermediate experience with Windows Server (2012R2+)
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
    • Willingness to work evenings/weekends as needed


    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience managing distributed enterprise networks (200+ sites)
    • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
    • Experience with large-scale network upgrades
    • Familiarity with enterprise storage networking (iSCSI, FCoE)
    • HPE Aruba certifications (NCP, APC - CX10000)
