Role Title: Technical Product Owner- Snowflake
Duration: 6-9 months (potential CTH if local)
Preferred Location: Prefer local to Buffalo onsite, if remote need to be onsite in Buffalo the first few weeks to ramp up
Role Description:
We are seeking a Technical Product Owner with strong expertise in Snowflake, to manage data transformation, and data flow management across production, build, and BAU environments. This role requires a hands-on understanding of data architecture, agile practices, and collaboration across technical and business teams. You will be responsible for managing product backlogs, supporting cross-functional teams through the development lifecycle, and ensuring successful data ingestion and delivery for enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage product backlogs, including prioritization, refinement, and sprint planning in agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments
- Work closely with development, QA, and business stakeholders during build, system testing, and user acceptance testing phases
- Lead and participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, retrospectives, demos, etc.)
- Collaborate with users and stakeholders to gather and document requirements, write user stories, and define acceptance criteria
- Ensure alignment of features and data flow across customer journeys and interdependent systems
- Oversee and validate data sourcing, mapping, transformation, and integration into enterprise applications
- Manage data ingestion and output pipelines using Snowflake, ensuring data quality and accuracy
- Support documentation and collaboration using Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office tools
- Drive continuous improvement by applying lean principles and product design best practices
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in a data-focused environment
- Proficient in Snowflake, with deep knowledge of data transformation and ingestion processes
- Strong understanding of data architecture, flow, and integration across environments
- Experience in data sourcing and data mapping into enterprise applications
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, and Microsoft Office tools
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (Scrum and Kanban) and lean principles
- Proven ability to work across development, QA, and business teams to deliver technical solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Background in data management or enterprise data platforms
