Security Policy Analyst
Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid - Minimum 3 days onsite/week)

About the Role
Join a dynamic team within our Cloud Security organization that sets the security bar and manages policy exceptions across our cloud infrastructure. This team plays a critical role in ensuring that any deviations from security policies are justified, documented, and followed up with precision and accountability.
We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative professional to manage exceptions to security policies, interface with internal stakeholders, and support compliance efforts. Key Responsibilities
Exception Management
- Review and interpret security exception requests.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess justifications and define exception durations.
- Ensure follow-up on commitments made during exception approvals.
- Validate policy implementation readiness using external third-party tools.
- Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Core Tasks
- Draft and maintain security policy documents.
- Resolve tickets in the exception management system.
- Interface with clients to address technical and business concerns.
- Drive project schedules and provide regular status updates.
- Assess Azure services for compliance with internal standards (SPPs).
- Triage exceptions based on operational risk.
- Track and analyze exception trends for continuous improvement.
- Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, or risk management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Azure.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet compliance deadlines (e.g., November cycles).
- Experience with ticketing systems and exception workflows
