Job Description
ECS is seeking a Solutions Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office.
We are currently seeking an organized, detailed oriented, and Solutions Engineer to join our team. This role will entail working closely with the client to understand needs and pain-points, and designing, configuring, and implementing technical solutions across a range of cloud providers , virtualization platforms, and supporting infrastructure.

This role will entail working closely with the client to understand needs and pain-points, and designing, configuring, and implementing technical solutions across a range of cloud providers , virtualization platforms, and supporting infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Finding intelligent ways to solve problems without a lot of repeat work
- Leveraging expertise to advise and create solutions that are simple, secure, and maintainable
- Build, maintain , and update automation code and/or scripts
- Support Linux and Windows environment s
- Help develop strategies to scale, secur e , monitor, and maintain cloud hosted services
- Optimize the observability of the environment
- Design and implement c ontinuous integration and d elivery automation in support of software, configuration, and infrastructure management
- Support, architect, and troubleshoot network changes in a hybrid cloud environment
- Development of microservices and applications
- Finding opportunities to use data and metrics to inform decisions and create changes to improve the environment
- Integration and migration to Ansible Tower
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline, or associates with equivalent years of experience.
At Least 5 Years of overall experience and knowledge of:
- Unix/Linux Administration
- Net working and virtual infrastructure management
- Configuration Management experience through Ansible/Terraform/Chef/Puppet
- Strong scripting in at least one language Python, Perl, Shell, Batch
- Ansible
- Cloud Environment management
Desired Skills
- Understanding of Git and how to use it
- Familiarity working in Agile / SCRUM Development environments
- Experience with bash and/or P ower S hell
- Deep knowledge of tuning Linux internals & core system services (DNS, SMTP, Syslog, IPTables , etc.)
- Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud Environments
- E xperience with containerization and microservice architectures
