As the Assistant Director of Application, you will work to service, build, and enhance our portfolio of applications. You will troubleshoot complex application issues that involve SAAS applications, custom built applications, and a variety of integrations between systems. You will work closely with members of the team to streamline and improve the existing application stack while working to buildout the environment to meet future needs. You will facilitate upgrades, maintenance, and all other service activities to ensure availability of the environment. This role will also assist with establishing the KPIs and proactive monitoring required to demonstrate the applications are up and running, accessible, and performing to established SLAs.

What you ll do in your role:

  • Manage the Run Operations and build activities around the application ecosystem which is comprised of many applications including Microsoft Business Central, Salesforce, Concur, and ADP.
  • Conduct periodic 1:1 meetings with staff to review project status, operational metrics, and ensure engagement levels remain high.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems crossing multiple technologies and business functions.
  • Contribute to furthering the automation of the application environment.
  • Work with business and technology teams to establish KPIs and SLAs for proactive monitoring of the applications,
  • Ensure the project management methodology is followed for all projects.
  • Ensure appropriate testing is performed on all application bug fixes, enhancements, and upgrades.
  • Ensures Application Services are at current versions and support levels.
  • Ensures the team provides appropriate on-call support for Application Services
  • Create / modify technical documentation and SOPs as appropriate.

What you ll need to be successful in this role:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Prior experience managing a team.
  • Must be capable of traveling to work site in Hillside NJ and Egg Harbor Township.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC with both waterfall and agile experience.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems concepts and familiarity with Microsoft NAV applications suite.
  • Solid understanding of core business processes around Finance, Distribution and Supply Chain.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or other project management tools
  • Self-directed and capable of setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking skills.
