Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Java Lead with 8 12 years of proven expertise in backend development, architecture design, and agile delivery, particularly within eCommerce platforms. This role requires strong hands-on skills in Java (11/17+), Spring Boot, and Microservices, alongside experience in headless CMS systems like Amplience, system integration, and modern cloud-based deployment practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems for eCommerce applications.
  • Architect and implement microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Java 11+.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Integrate with content management (e.g., Amplience) and product information management (PIM) platforms.
  • Own system design decisions related to core eCommerce functions like catalog, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, and order management.
  • Drive CI/CD implementation and development workflows using tools such as Bitbucket, JIRA, and Jenkins or equivalent.
  • Uphold best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and agile development processes.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers and peers.

 

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8 12 years of hands-on backend development experience using Java 11/17+.
  • Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservices architecture.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, system design, and distributed architecture.
  • Proven experience in the eCommerce domain with knowledge of key modules: product catalog, order flow, payment processing, and customer data.
  • Experience with headless CMS solutions like Amplience (or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Bitbucket), and agile tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Exposure to cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
  • Sound knowledge of software performance tuning, secure coding practices, and scalability principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
