Job Title - Business Manager

Work model - 5x a week in office, Manhattan

Comp - 250-500k+ total comp (base + bonus)

Summary - A top hedge fund globally is hiring a business manager to join their core engineering team working closely with various technology and business leaders. You will partner to design strategy and drive execution on high priority projects and initiatives.

Requirements
  • Be an analytic and data-driven individual with distinctive ability to quickly pick up new concepts, and dynamically adjust communication styles to a variety of audiences.
  • Independently take apart complex business issues, perform research and analyses, synthesize conclusions into senior management-level presentations, lead implementation of these strategies within a business, and collaborate with senior business leaders across the firm.
  • Be able to learn quickly both through active engagement with colleagues and independent research will greatly increase a candidate's likelihood of success.
  • 4+ years total experience, including 2+ years of management consulting or strategic program management
  • Background in technology and financial services highly preferred
  • Technical undergraduate major or masters preferred (e.g., CS, math, engineering

Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with senior technology leaders to create and execute strategic roadmaps
  • Analyzing our technology and infrastructure to derive actionable insights and improve effectiveness
  • Identify and create new processes and procedures in "greenfield" areas
  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting on projects and the organization (Human Capital)
  • Manage critical projects, working closely with developers to deliver value to the business
  • Partnering with key stakeholders (e.g., CTOs, business leads, engineering leads, other COOs) to execute the most critical strategic projects - including developing and refining requirements, working with engineers to design solutions, and managing the solution's implementation
  • Develop and execute talent and recruiting strategy
  • Own technology Strategy and goals development
