Job Title: Systems Engineer


Location: Chicago, IL / Denver, CO
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Client Industry: Banking
Duration: 12-18 Months
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM 5 PM MST



Key Responsibilities




  • Deploy, manage, and support enterprise applications across Windows and Linux environments.




  • Research, design, and implement secure infrastructure and application solutions.




  • Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and OS/server support.




  • Manage application lifecycle, including hosting, configuration, and troubleshooting.




  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and GIS leadership to enhance security posture.




  • Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.




  • Support and optimize databases and perform security-related query operations.





Must Haves




  • Strong Systems Engineering & Application Management experience.




  • Hands-on experience with Windows & Linux server environments.




  • Expertise in application deployment, hosting, and support.




  • Experience with server OS support and vulnerability patching.




  • Knowledge of Cisco routing and network fundamentals.




  • Familiarity with databases and query languages.




  • Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, or SANS preferred.




  • PowerShell scripting knowledge.





Compensation


Hourly Rate: $50 - $55 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
