Job Title - Senior SAP BW Planning Architect
San Jose, CA

Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Architect with deep expertise in SAP BW Planning to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 12 16 years of experience and will work in a hybrid model during day shifts. This role does not require travel. The Senior Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions that align with business objectives and enhance data management capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SAP BW Planning solutions to meet business requirements and improve data management efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all SAP BW Planning processes and configurations.
- Provide expert guidance and support to the development team during implementation.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct regular assessments of existing systems to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP BW Planning technologies and trends.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance team understanding of SAP BW Planning tools and methodologies.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing best practices and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Optimize data models and reporting capabilities to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide technical recommendations for system upgrades and new technology adoption.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through feedback and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Experience in SAP configuration experience for Production Process & Operations
- Need at least 2 full life cycle implementation experience.
- Experience in configuring and managing the implementation of functionality including Process Orders, Order settlements, Contracts/Agreements, Material Costing, BOM s and Production Resources/Recipes.
- Understanding of material configuration structure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Results oriented
- Good understanding of Integration points of Production Processing with other SAP modules like FI, Costing, MM, etc.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in meeting with users and management to define complex business requirements in sufficient detail to determine the appropriate SAP configuration or development required, or to document why the requirement cannot be satisfied by an SAP-based solution.
- Good understanding of material and batch classification structure.
- Ability to work with a process person to develop, document and translate business requirements into conceptual designs.
- Ability to write functional design specifications for PP module custom programming (more than just configuring for a specific process)
- SAP Business Warehouse experience is a plus but not required
- Extensive knowledge in system configuration to meet business requirements
- Analyze, replicate, and resolve issues
- Conducting workshops to identify technical gaps, solution design, testing activities
- Excellent knowledge on end to end processes including Intra/Inter-company transfers, outbound delivery and inbound delivery processing, shipments, TPPs, Shipment Cost Document, Service Entry sheets, Inventory statuses, batch managements, warehouse management setup with internal and external ownership
- Knowledge on integration SAP processes with 3rd party applications
- Knowledge on reporting tool, KPIs development
- Execute and monitor recurring monthly process activities and communication to stakeholders on status
- Maintain process documentation and functionality changes
- Develop Functional Design Specifications to work with development teams for custom development
- Work with cross-functional teams on integration efforts as necessary to resolve technical and process issues
- Work with end users, IT team members, and management to define and document business requirements, establish target dates with prioritizations
- Must have excellent communication skills
