Position Overview:
Apex Systems is seeking a Scrum Master on behalf of a leading insurance technology partner. This is a fully onsite role in either Melbourne, FL or Irving, TX. The ideal candidate is a servant leader with a deep understanding of Agile principles and a passion for empowering development teams. You'll play a key role in facilitating Scrum ceremonies, removing obstacles, and driving continuous improvement across teams.

- Direct project scope and timelines to ensure alignment and timely delivery
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies
- Coach team members on Agile frameworks and best practices
- Foster internal communication and collaboration across teams
- Partner with Product Owners to manage backlogs and prioritize work
- Identify and remove blockers to maintain team productivity
- Support teams in implementing process improvements
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Guide teams toward higher levels of Scrum maturity
- Cultivate a positive, productive environment where teams take ownership and thrive

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a Scrum Master or similar Agile role
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of software development processes
- Expertise in Scrum techniques and artifacts (user stories, definition of done, backlog refinement, etc.)
- Familiarity with other Agile frameworks (e.g., Crystal, XP)
- Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
- Proven conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
Plusses:
- Experience with full stack development (SQL, REST Services, C# .NET Core, Bootstrap, Vue.js)
- Prior experience in insurance or financial services
- Passion for team coaching and Agile maturity
