Job Title: AVP Level 3 Technical Lead (Appian Tech Lead) (Ins Ops - Appian)
Location: New York City (NYC) or New Jersey (NJ) - (someone ready to relocate can work) Onsite

Requirements
- Strong knowledge of core functions of an insurance company and applicable concepts, with a primary focus on actuarial pricing and/or reserving.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence using analyses at various levels, including senior leadership.
- Experience building successful business partnerships.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for mentorship and developing team members' skills.
- Ability to effectively delegate and promote a successful working team environment.
- Effective communicator and exceptional listener with experience persuading and negotiating trade-offs of scope and timelines.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve complex situations and issues. Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and lead teams. Proactively conducts user research, customer interviews, and lean experiments.
- Ability to advise and manage expectations of stakeholders, earning trust and building durable relationships.
- Demonstrates sound judgment in making critical business decisions within scope of authority.
- Collaborates effectively with team members from different business units.
- Skilled at managing through ambiguous and challenging problems creatively and effectively and leads through change.
Education & Training:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent product development experience.
- Typically, a minimum of 12 years of related work experience and at least 5 years in a manager or leadership role.
- Domain knowledge of insurance and/or reinsurance is required, specifically in actuarial pricing and reserving practices
