Job Description:

• We are currently recruiting a DevOps Engineer to work hybrid in Sunnyvale.


• The ideal candidate would have at least 8 years of software development or DevOps experience, demonstrating proficiency in web application CI/CD integration in both Windows and Linux environments.


• They should also have strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different scrum teams while taking ownership of different stages of the CI/CD process, ensuring consistency, quality control, and adherence to existing software development and deployment processes.


• Working alongside other software engineers and DevOps engineers, you will design and develop the CI/CD process to build, test and package our next generation molecular diagnostics application!


• Have opportunities to work within and across different scrum teams to maximize the impact in different domains of our software installation.


• Be the domain and technical owner of different stages of the CI/CD process used by our core applications.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain application deployment pipelines and processes, with focus on consistency and quality control.


• Documentation of existing and revised process for communication with internal and external stakeholders


• Establish new or enhance existing development, build and packaging process to deliver stable application builds with good test coverage, leverage Infrastructure as Code in design.


• Server configuration and management, including local servers, VMs, and resources in AWS, as well as monitoring and alerting mechanism used in the server resources.


• Adhere to our existing software development/deployment and source control processes.


• Perform risk management to minimize customer impact from software packaging processes.

Qualifications:

• BS in Computer Science, or other STEM majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and 8+ years of software development or DevOps related experience; or master's degree with 6+ years of related work experience; or Doctoral degree with 3+ years of work experience


• Experience with web application CI/CD integration in Windows or Linux environment.


• Working knowledge of Gitlab, Gradle, Python, Java, Ant, Windows, and Linux Command Shell


• Test Driven development and experience working in an Agile Scrum Environment


• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audiences.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with database design with relational databases.


• Experience with hardware integration in Windows platforms.
