Job Title: Senior Network Engineer
Location: New York, NY | Richmond, VA, | Atlanta, GA (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer / Lead with extensive experience in data center network architecture, design, and operations. The role requires deep hands-on expertise, technical leadership, and the ability to drive large-scale data center initiatives in enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and implementation of large-scale data center network infrastructure
- Own routing, switching, security, and high-availability network solutions
- Provide L3/L4 support, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex network issues
- Drive network modernization, upgrades, and migrations
- Work closely with data center operations, cloud, security, and application teams
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical designs and changes
- Manage change management, incident response, and network documentation
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and availability standards
Mandatory Skills:
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in Network Engineering
- Strong expertise in Data Center Networking (Spine-Leaf, Clos, EVPN)
- Advanced knowledge of Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco / Arista / Juniper network platforms
- Strong experience with Firewalls, Load Balancers, and Network Security
- Experience with LAN, WAN, VLANs, VXLAN
- Proven experience handling enterprise-scale, high-availability environments
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Skills:
- CCNP / CCIE (preferred)
- Experience with multi-site data centers
- Knowledge of cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform Direct Connect / ExpressRoute)
- Exposure to network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
- ITIL or process-driven operations experience
