Job Summary:
Seeking a highly motivated, analytical Business Analyst with strong experience in Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Revenue Cycle Financials (patient accounting, billing, claims). The role involves supporting system design, testing, implementation, training, and ongoing support of healthcare IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as primary EHR resource for system design, requirements gathering, and workflow development
- Work closely with stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors during site visits and implementation
- Develop test scripts, assist with validation, and support system go-live
- Create process flows, documentation, and training materials
- Coordinate and support integration testing, risk analysis, and issue resolution
- Utilize tools like Visio, SharePoint, Teams, and project management apps
- Support project manager in Agile/Waterfall environments
- 5+ years as Business Analyst
- 3+ years in healthcare (clinical, research, health IT, or financial)
- 3+ years with EHR systems (Cerner/Oracle Health preferred)
- Strong skills in: Requirements gathering, business analysis, SQL, SDLC, Agile, process mapping
- Proficient with MS Office tools, SharePoint, and Visio
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration
- Bachelor's in IT, Healthcare, Business, or related field
- Experience with Healthcare Information Systems
- Familiarity with Virginia SEC 501 and HIPAA
- Cerner Millennium, CCL, or Oracle Health experience
- Understanding of revenue cycle workflows and data migration
