Job Description:
Apex Systems is seeking a Pharmacy Systems Analyst to support the technical operations of its centralized pharmacy services, which include six retail pharmacies located within hospitals and a logistics hub in Elkridge, MD. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy applications, hardware, and user needs across both retail and specialty pharmacy environments. Please note this is a REMOTE position.
Compensation: $60-75/hr
Schedule: M-F normal business hours
Benefits: Access to health, dental, vision, 401k, and a weekly pay structure

Key Responsibilities:
Application & Server Support:
- Provide end-user support for McKesson EnterpriseRx and BD Logistics systems.
- Troubleshoot and escalate server vs. application issues to BD engineering teams.
- Support updates and changes to hosted applications on client-managed servers.
Retail & Logistics Operations:
- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with application and hardware issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot:
- Scanners
- Printers
- Desktops and laptops
- Point-of-sale terminals and IVR systems
- Ensure hardware compatibility and readiness for pharmacy applications.
Virtual Desktop & Citrix Support:
- Provide technical support for virtual desktop environments.
- Assist in the transition to virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure systems and workflows comply with legal, state, and insurance regulations.
- Support billing and insurance processes within pharmacy systems.
Project Management & User Education:
- Lead or support pharmacy-related IT projects.
- Educate users on system updates and best practices.
- Document procedures and provide training materials.
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations and workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across server, application, and user levels.
- Experience with Citrix and virtual desktop environments.
- Understanding of compliance, insurance, billing, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with McKesson EnterpriseRx and BD Logistics systems.
- Pharmacy technician background or similar clinical experience.
- Experience supporting clean room operations and TPN compounders.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Project management experience in healthcare or pharmacy IT.
