Work Arrangement:

This role is based remotely, but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, Milford or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The Team:

As a member of GM's Human Resources Group you are a brand ambassador who supports the Global Talent Acquisition's vision and leads the recruiting process using technology, analytics, collaboration, white-gloved customer service skills.

The Role:

As a Talent Acquisition Governance Specialist you will support and collaborate with respective internal groups and employees focusing on new ideas, solutions, team calls, mentoring, partnerships with colleagues, hiring managers and HR.

  • Act as the initial Talent Acquisition point of contact for questions and concerns regarding our internal recruitment policies and compliance with external law.
  • Partner with Legal and internal HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure complicated matters are handled consistently with internal policy and external law.
  • Modify, create, document, communicate, and train changes in Global Talent Acquisition policies.
  • Assist in the development/delivery of compliance and governance training to Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, and Hiring Managers
  • Support Talent Acquisition projects and training from a governance and compliance perspective.
  • Provide TA documentation and feedback regarding confidential internal investigations and external litigation.
  • Assist in data collection and explanation of recruitment history in support of government audits, including OFCCP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Affirmative Action Planning
  • Conduct monthly internal data quality audits in Workday to support candidate experience, compliance, and recruitment efforts.
  • Support recruitment adherence to Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) data retention policies in compliance with applicable law.
  • Have basic understanding and able to support US OFCCP compliance protocol.
  • Provide immigration and work authorization support to Talent Acquisition Partners, Human Resources, and Hiring Managers
  • Counseling talent management team on immigration processes
  • Guiding employees and managers on immigration policies, and set expectations on better practice, process and timeline.
  • Analyze complex immigration matters and effectively communicate solutions to internal clients in collaboration with our Global Mobility team and outside immigration counsel.
  • Actively identify process improvements focusing on employee experience

Additional Description

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required
  • Firm understanding of current immigration requirements and remain abreast of new developments
  • Workday Recruitment or other Applicant Tracking System basic knowledge
  • Previous experience supporting Compliance and/or Governance in Global Recruitment area
  • Experience with MS Office suite; specifically, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience consulting on procedural requirements for various visa types; non-immigrant and immigrant
  • A team player that can adapt to the fast-paced and ever-changing environment, work collaboratively with other departments and managers at all levels within the company
  • Ability to effectively interface with all level of employees
  • Able to demonstrate complete discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong oral and written communication; able to communicate effectively within a diverse culture

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is $67,900 - $104,100 USD Annually.
  • Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
