Role: Software Development Test Engineer
Location: Mountain View, CA(On-site
Duration: Contract 6+ months and possibility for extension - This duration is subject to changes based on the project's requirement and/or the client's sole discretion.

Pay Rate: $50/hr - $52/hr on W2 All Inclusive Danta Technologies payroll OR $55/hr on Corp to Corp All Inclusive

Ideal Candidate Summary:
A mid- to senior-level test automation engineer who has built and maintained Python-based automation frameworks (preferably Pytest), validated Android-based embedded systems (ideally in automotive), built and managed CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Docker, and understands automotive protocols (CAN, UDS, etc.) and test tools (CANoe, Wireshark, TestRail). Able to plan test strategy and collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve software/hardware bugs.

The client is looking for experienced, hands-on Software Development Test Engineers who can design and build automation test frameworks for embedded Android-based infotainment systems in the automotive domain. This is not a junior or manual QA role the focus is on engineering-level test automation, embedded systems validation, and deep infrastructure ownership.

Job Description:

Core Technical Skills Required

These are non-negotiable and must be clearly demonstrated in the resume:

1. Automation Framework Development

o Strong proficiency in Python , especially using Pytest

o Experience building data-driven automation frameworks

2. Embedded Systems Testing

o Hands-on testing of embedded Linux and Android applications

o Familiarity with Android CTS and Monkey testing

3. CI/CD and Containerization

o At least 4 years of experience with Docker and Jenkins

o Building and managing CI/CD pipelines for test automation

4. Automotive Protocols & Interfaces

o Knowledge of CAN, DOIP, Ethernet

o Application protocols: UDS, SomeIP

o Interfaces: USB, UART, SPI, I2C

5. Test Tools & Infrastructure

o Tools: CANoe, PCAN, Wireshark, PacketSender

o Test management: TestRail or Xray

o Experience creating and maintaining automated test pipelines

Strategic & Leadership Skills
