Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Java Cloud Engineer / Technical Lead with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate will design and deliver scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments. This role requires strong ownership, architectural thinking, and hands-on technical excellence.

Responsibilities:
Application Development: Design and develop scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies.
Architecture & Design: Implement complex solutions in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, contributing to design discussions and hands-on development.
Agile Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with evolving business priorities in Agile environments.
Technical Leadership: Own critical components, ensuring system performance, reliability, and maintainability, while mentoring junior engineers through code reviews and guidance.
Engineering Rigor: Bring clarity to ambiguous requirements using strong engineering judgment and initiative.
Best Practices: Champion excellence in testing, CI/CD, observability, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality code.

Required Qualifications:
9+ years of professional software development experience with a strong technical foundation.
Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and REST API development.
Hands-on experience with real-time streaming architectures and microservices patterns.
Demonstrated ability to deliver cloud-native applications on AWS or other major cloud platforms.
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and event-driven architectures in production systems.
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), version control, and DevOps tooling.
Strong experience with both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DocumentDB) databases.
Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and deployment automation.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
Full ownership mindset writing, testing, deploying, and validating your own code for end-to-end reliability.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work across architecture, product, and engineering teams.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in event streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, or Pulsar).
Exposure to serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, etc.).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Background in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
