Join Our Team as an Electronics Engineer within the FBM Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) organization.

Location: Although this position does support some teleworking; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Cape Canaveral FL, and be expected to work in the office as needed and as appropriate.

What does this role look like?

The EGSE team is responsible for the design and sustainment of all test equipment used to manufacture and sustain the FBM product. The group is leveraging Digital Transformation and business transformation techniques to drive efficiency and maximize value to our customer. We are looking for you to be a change agent to join our team in transforming the way we design and sustain automated test equipment. You will be responsible for designing and sustaining a variety of automated test equipment in support of the EGSE organization.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multi-function integrated test equipment
Responsibilities over the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending.
Develop requirements from subsystem specifications to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
Interface with suppliers, customer, and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk
solutions.
Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design
and business teams, vendors and customers.
Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure.
Provide professional recommendations to subcontractors & suppliers.
Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

To be familiar with basic electrical test equipment.
2+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's; or 0+ years of professional experience with a Master's degree.
While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus ship is required.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Firm understanding of assembly, interconnect and schematic diagrams.

Familiarity with basic electrical test equipment such as power supplies, meters, oscilloscopes and/or data acquisition devices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus ship is required.

Desired skills

Firm understanding of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.

Experience developing and/or sustaining automated test system hardware configuration and associated procedures

Experience troubleshooting automated test failures and executing root cause analysis

Familiarity with automated test methodologies

Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces such as MXI, PXI, VXI, GPIB, TCP/IP, etc.

Familiarity with issue and project-tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence

Ability to work remotely

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
