Product Manager

Our client is an academic private health system, focused on delivering compassionate, high quality care and putting discovery and innovation into practice at the bedside. Our client is an integrated network of care, delivering 25 percent of all hospital care in urban, suburban and rural communities across the state where they are located. They put academic medicine within reach through primary and specialty care delivered at 11 hospitals, as well as through a network of Urgent Care centers and more than 150 other locations in 13 counties.
Job Summary
The Product Manager will help create a product plan, manage requirements, and work with the development team to create a fully functional Perioperative digital health application. You will be responsible for all things Product Management, including working with End Users (Doctors and Nurses) to help design functionality, and required components.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee the Product Management of a new product.
- Work as part of the Agile development process, which includes being involved in sprints, defining tasks, setting priorities, ensuring adherence to timelines, and participating in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Serve as a bridge between the technical team and other stakeholders (e.g., product managers, designers, and business leaders, etc.) to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and technical constraints.
- Develop and maintain proficiency in the clinical or operational context of software technology; understand and generate insights into business requirements for software technologies.
- Maintain proficiency regarding differentiators, benefits, and competitive advantages of the software product; maintain awareness of competitor landscape.
- Translate business requirements for the software product into technical tickets and deliverables.
- Provide forward thinking technical expertise in current and emerging technologies, trends and best practices.
- Proactively resolve challenges and bottlenecks; encourage innovation and the adoption of best practices and new technologies to improve the product and development process.
- Ensure comprehensive technical documentation and adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Software Development & Engineering to ensure technical implementations are standardized.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, problem solving, innovation, continuous learning, and a one team mindset.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor s degree in MIS, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 3 + years of Product Management experience in a Health/Hospital setting.
- 3 + years of experience with direct customer/end user interaction to ensure customers needs are prioritized, scoped for development and finally met by appropriate product.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Agile.
- Healthcare Domain experience.

- Possess a can-do attitude coupled with strong belief and temperament to bring forth positive outcomes for both internal and potential clients by innovative design and delivery of software platforms and digital assets.
- Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Possess an entrepreneurial attitude and promote experimentation.
- Ability to work on complex projects with tight deadlines and coordinate multiple coordinating elements of the product and stakeholder expectations.
- Proven ability to perform proof of concepts and anticipate bottlenecks to make proactive delivery estimates.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Advanced analytical, conceptual thinking, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage, produce, and execute on tasks with a sense of urgency and ownership.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills, and ability to achieve results without day-to-day reporting oversight.
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, both personally and at a team level.
- Advanced verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Our client s core team is in the Baltimore Maryland area. We are planning for you to visit some of the hospitals and facilities in the Maryland area so you can direct interact with End Users, so you must be local to the greater Baltimore/Maryland area (Note this is not an every day in the office position but expect to occasionally be able to drive to different facilities to meet with team members).
